New Day Films Streaming

New Day has been at the forefront of streaming for almost a decade—we first launched New Day Digital in 2007 and have streamed our films to thousands of users since then. Most recently, New Day Digital has been fully integrated into the New Day site, offering one-stop shopping for streams and DVDs. Most of our films also stream from the Kanopy streaming platform.

We offer streaming with licensing terms of 14 days, three years, five years and seven years. Streams are served to institutional users via IP authentication, allowing students and professors to watch the films through their library web site. It's easy for professors to share the films with students by including links on their class sites. Digital Site Licenses may also be selectively available if a customer prefers to stream from their own servers. Contact us to request titles.

Each of our member filmmakers decides which license terms make the most sense for their own films. Most titles are available to stream at lower rates for community groups and K-12 institutions. We also make many of our films available to individual users, for three days, at $4.99. Personal streams are not licensed for in-class streaming or group viewing.  However, professors are welcome to assign students streams to watch with individually obtained personal streaming licenes -- a streaming film version of a textbook.  Streaming français

To get started, select a film, go to its main page, and click on the “Streaming and DVD Purchasing Options.” The drop down menu shows your streaming choices and pricing (see screenshot below). You can complete the purchase instantly via credit card or with a Purchase Order (streams purchased via PO activated during business hours: M-F 9-5 EST). There are substantial discounts for multiple-title purchases, and please contact us about streaming the entire collection, or tailoring a thematic or other package to fit your institutional needs. Most New Day titles also stream via Kanopy , a Netflix-like streaming platform for academia. Kanopy offers one-year and three-year licenses, as well as subscriptions based on the PDA model (patron driven acquisition).
